Laura’s certification is endorsed by the SPCP, and she is also recognized as an International VMM 3D Areola Trainer under the famous Vicky Martin herself. Her 3D Areola Course follows the same format, which allows students to receive Vicky Martin’s pre-study online course and materials prior to class, as well as certification from the VMM. The Medical Tattoo Academy meets all these standards and provides certifications. Our courses are taught in a clinical environment that follows hospital-level sanitation protocols and medical tattoo best practices.

What qualifications or licenses do I need to take a paramedical tattoo course?

You do not need previous tattoo or permanent makeup experience to enroll. All students must complete a Bloodborne Pathogen Certification before class begins (the link is on this page). The course costs $30 and is required in every state in the USA to work in paramedical tattooing. Many of our students come from backgrounds in PMU, aesthetics, or healthcare, but beginners are fully supported through every step of training.

What does a paramedical tattoo course include?

Each program combines theory, demonstration, and hands-on training. Depending on your course, you’ll learn:

Courses typically run two to three days, depending on the training focus, with pre-study options and ongoing support via a WhatsApp group after class. Students who complete multiple programs can become fully certified in all major areas of paramedical tattooing within a few weeks. Our training is designed to give you the knowledge, confidence, and skills to begin offering professional services immediately.

How much does the training cost?

Do I need prior experience in permanent makeup or tattooing?

Will I get to practice on live models?

What products and machines are used during training?

We train exclusively with medical-grade pigments and professional tattoo devices approved for paramedical use. Students learn:
